Dr. Jonathan Faris A third-generation dentist, Dr. Jonathan was born and raised in Forest Grove. He graduated at the top of his class at Forest Grove High School in 2014, and in 2018, he graduated from the University of Oregon with a double major and Phi Beta Kappa honors and was selected as one of the prestigious Oregon Six, awarded to the top six graduates. Dr. Jonathan was educated in the art and science of dentistry at the prestigious OHSU School of Dentistry in Portland. When he received his D.M.D. degree,, he was awarded the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons Dental Implant Student Award and the American College of Dentists Ethics and Professionalism award. Before he moved back to Forest Grove to work alongside his father, Dr. Jonathan worked as a general dentist in the Happy Valley area for several years.Dr. Jonathan believes that you deserve the very best care that modern dentistry has to offer. He and his team are dedicated to being the best informed and most thorough dental team Forest Grove has to offer. One of Dr. Jonathan’s core values is his commitment to expanding his knowledge and skills through the latest continuing education. He routinely exceeds the amount of continuing education required by the Oregon Board of Dentistry. He currently serves as the President-Elect of the Oregon Academy of General Dentistry (OAGD), the premier provider of dental continuing education in Oregon, and has served on the Board of Directors of OAGD since dental school. Recently, Dr. Jonathan was named one of the Academy of General Dentistry’s “10 Dentists to Watch” in 2024, which distinguishes 10 dentists at the start of their careers who represent the newest generation of exemplary oral healthcare providers in the United States. Dr. Jonathan strives to provide dental care with the same integrity, personal touch, and good humor that his father and grandfather before him displayed over the last two generations. In addition to being heavily involved in the Academy of General Dentistry, Dr. Jonathan is an active member of the American Dental Association, Oregon Dental Association, Washington County Dental Society, and the Delta Sigma Delta dental fraternity. Dr. Jonathan resides in the Forest Grove area with his wife, Tess, who also grew up in Forest Grove. They are expecting their first child, a baby girl, in March 2024 and can’t wait to share this beautiful part of Oregon with her. A few years ago, Dr. Jonathan and Tess adopted a cattle dog/Great Pyrenees mix named Wally, who is a constant joy in their lives. Outside of dentistry, Dr. Jonathan enjoys hiking, reading, playing tennis, and spending quality time with his loved ones. |
